hi my husband has an adopted child from previous marriage.?
when he divorced his previous wife he bought her a house and gave large amount of money. does he need to pay alimony for that adopted child now?
He legally a adopted a child with that woman and therefore that child is his child… Biologically or not… He made a commitment to a CHILD…
Therefore the payments he should be making are CHILD SUPPORT payments for the care of HIS CHILD!!!
If the court orders child support payments, then the answer is Yes.

"Alimony" is spousal support and a separate issue from child support. It is written in his divorce decree what he is responsible for paying. Chances are he would be ordered to pay child support.

Not alimony, but child support.. when you adopt a child it becomes YOUR child, it isnt left behind with the ex. Geez poor kid.

He has to pay child support. Whether they had the child naturally or adopted the child is irrelevant. Its still their child and they both still have responsibilities toward the child. He’s the father! Don’t try to take this childs father away.

Under the law, an adopted child is treated the same as a natural child – yes, he could be required to pay support for the child.

Of course he does. If the child is legally his, why would he (or you) want to deny him of his legal rights to support from his parent? And it’s called child support. Alimony is for the spouse.
